A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial demonstrated that topical application of Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate (a postbiotic) significantly improved skin barrier function, reduced transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and decreased visible redness and inflammatory markers in subjects with sensitive and reactive skin after 4 weeks of use.
